It's not hard taking it out with the engine in. Installing the PS rack would be a good side project to installing manifolds/DP's, but not vice versa. Lowering the front subframe would make it easier to maneuver the rack out. Unbolting the motor mounts, upper strut mount, tension rods, and loosening the 4 main bolts (supporting the engine) will give you almost an inch of extra clearance.
